From a young age, Neil exhibited an extraordinary talent and passion for music. He was, incredibly, a pupil of a pupil of a pupil of the legendary composer and pianist Frédéric Chopin, and this lineage imbued him with a profound understanding and appreciation of not only classical, but all types of contemporary music.
His career has been marked by a series of remarkable achievements. He once served as the pianist to Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, on board HM Royal Yacht Britannia, appeared on television and performed at numerous international venues, captivating audiences with his versatility and passion for all types of music. His performances are not only technically impeccable but also emotionally resonant, leaving a lasting impression on those who have had the pleasure of witnessing his artistry.
Neil has numerous recordings to his name, each a testament to his talent and dedication. His work as a film composer has further expanded his repertoire, allowing him to explore new dimensions of musical expression and contribute to the cinematic arts.
One of his notable creations is the "Elvis to Elton Show," which showcases his ability to traverse different musical genres with ease and flair. This show is a testament to his versatility and creativity, drawing in diverse audiences and receiving widespread acclaim.
Neil currently teaches music at Miltoncross Academy in Portsmouth, in which role he continues to inspire and nurture the next generation of musicians. His teaching is informed by his extensive experience and deep understanding of music, making him an invaluable mentor to his students.
Paul was seized by the urge to play an electric guitar from first hearing The Shadows aged 10 and formed his own band aged 14.He’s spent all of the intervening decades seeking out new musical challenges via stunning solo and band performances, and is chuffed to be working with old friends to bring this fun show to you, using that love of vintage rock n’ roll and rock guitar to wedge as much great guitar playing as he can into this piano dominated show!
Keith fell in love with all things bass at school, and so, at the tender age of 16, joined the Royal Marines Band Service studying tuba, double bass and bass guitar at the prestigious Royal Marines School of Music in Deal.
His RM career took him all over the country and abroad, playing at many famous events and venues including FA Cup Finals, a Rugby World Cup final, the Centre Court at Wimbledon, Royal Albert Hall and Buckingham Palace. He was also given the privilege of returning to Deal as the Bass Instructor; a job he loved, as he firmly believes in the importance of giving the next generation the same opportunities he had.
He now lives in Gosport with his wife, Debbie (whose incredible support and patience he is eternally grateful for), and has been regularly involved with local bands covering a range of genres from jazz to blues and rock to Irish! He has played with South Coast Symphonia, Portsmouth Light Orchestra and various theatre productions; notably Oliver! and Joseph & the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat (a tick off the bucket list!) He is soon to become the peripatetic bass teacher at Miltoncross Academy, a prospect he is extremely excited about.
Rock n’ roll has always been a passion of his, so naturally he jumped at the opportunity of being involved with the Elvis to Elton show!
Chris has performed and recorded for a variety of bands in the past. Alongside drumming for the Elvis to Elton band Chris teaches drums privately and in schools across Hampshire,, one of which is the Miltoncross Academy. As a side note one of his pupils is woody, the stunning drummer in the support act Frontline. Always keen to put his contemporary edge on all the musical arangements which keep everything so fresh and exciting. He is an active member drumming for the originals band ‘Fast Trains’ as well as in a tribute band to The Kinks which is a regular on the Warners circuit.
Dave has performed with, and taught a variety of instruments; his primary being trumpet. After learning his trade at a you age with bands such as National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO), he has composed for, performed with and managed bands for the last fifteen years. With E2E he provides the Jazz and soul edge to the arrangements, bringing the brass section alive up top,
Jess discovered her love of music almost accidentally when a group of Portsmouth University students turned up at her junior school. A music student handed her a clarinet, was amazed she even got a note out of it - and that she was playing Jingle Bells within two hours! Just three months later she performed ‘Once I Was Seven Years Old’ at her end of term leaving concert, and realised she’d found her passion.
She started playing with the HMS Sultan Volunteer Band in Gosport a year later; with whom she is still a regular member, playing at all types of Royal Naval events from admiralty dinners to D-Day memorials.
At The Hayling College she met Neil Ogley, who immediately recognised her potential. She achieved an NCFE in Music Performance whilst also studying for a full range of GCSE subjects, before going on to on to study Music Performance at Fareham College and performing at such venues as Joiners and 1865 in Southampton, as well as at open days and college concerts.
She has continued to work with Neil at Titchfield Festival Theatre, and at private events such as weddings. She has recently started the process of applying to join the Military Band Service, supporting our armed forces around the world as well as domestically.
A trained lifeguard she is now Duty Manager at a large leisure centre, gigging in her spare time and building her fitness ready for a career in the military.
George is currently the trombone instructor at the Royal Marines School of Music, an organisation with which he has been privileged to play all over the world. He is frequently found on the music festival scene as the bass trombonist in the ‘Dutty Moonshine Big Band’, and toured the UK with them following the release of their number 1 dance album, ‘City of Sin’. When not playing his trombone, he's singing barbershop.
Outside of the musical realm George is a keen fell runner and enjoys long, romantic walks to the fridge.
